Built some time in the late 1800s, the Chandlers Hotel has a history that may be linked to Thomas Hardy, whose sketches match various aspects of the hotel's architecture.
Proprietors purchased the hotel in 2001 and promptly closed it for a year, carefully refurbishing the whole building to an exceptionally high standard. Give your special occasion added fizz by pampering yourself in the intimate surroundings of the Chandlers Hotel, an ideal venue for romantic occasions such as wedding nights, anniversaries and birthdays. The Chandlers is also the perfect place for family and friends to stay while attending weddings, parties and other events in the local area. Groups can exclusively book the hotel and meet their friends and relatives in our lounge bar. Centrally located close to popular restaurants, within walking distance of the town centre and within easy reach of industrial and business centres. You will be rewarded by a standard of accommodation superior to every day business hotel with an extensive breakfast menu and many extras for your comfort. The Chandlers is a non-smoking hotel. We have no family rooms and do not accept children under 14.

Single Room ()
On the first floor at the front of the hotel with two sash windows this is a lovely airy room. The en-suite has a shower cubicle, toilet and hand basin.

Two of these rooms are on the first floor, the other on the second floor. All with shower en-suites. Bright, contemporary decor.

Larger double rooms, two on the second floor and one on the first floor. Bath robes and a few added comforts are included.

On the first floor at the back of the hotel is a sunny room with a view of St John's Church. The bathroom has a spa-bath, vanity unit and hand basin. There is a separate room with a toilet and hand basin.

Deluxe Master Bedroom ()
A ground floor room with a large picture window overlooking the small floodlit garden. It is now our largest room and has a very special feel, making it the perfect accommodation for that special occasion to ensure that you have a most pleasurable stay in Weymouth. The room has a lovely 5 foot brass bed, very comfortable rattan chairs, a tv/dvd combi and free broadband Internet access. The en-suite is really special with a large shower, enormous overhead rose and body jets at the sides.
