• Taff Trail(1 km)- The Taff Trail long-distance footpath links Cardiff to Brecon. The route follows the Taff valley using old railway lines, canals and forestry paths via Llandaff, Pontypridd and Merthyr Tydfil, ending up at the Brecon Beacons.
• Brecon Beacons National Park(1 km)- Pen Y Fan is the highest peak in South Wales and the summit provides spectacular views across the rugged countryside. This is a must for walkers and ramblers. The Waterfalls at Ystradfellte are in a particularly beautiful area and are not to be missed.
• Dan Yr Ogof Caves(10 km)- The National Showcaves Centre for Wales is situated within the Brecon Beacons National Park and is a fascinating insight into the natural phenonema of cave formation.
• Ystradfellte Waterfalls(10 km)- The Ystradfellte Waterfalls are a series of dramatic waterfalls situated in the Brecon Beacons Nationel Park.There are several rivers that contribute to the breathtaking views and they offer a wide variety of locations at which to view them.

Directions:

By car: From the m4, exit at junction 32, then take the a470 northbound towards Merthyr Tydfil. Llwyn Onn Guest House is located in the heart of the Brecon Beacons on the a470, 3 miles north of Merthyr Tydfil and 16 miles south of Brecon. We are approximately 3 kilometres from the a465 roundabout, directly opposite the Llwyn Onn Reservoir, turn right at the telephone kiosk. Bus from Merthyr Tydfil to Brecon stops on the a470 approximately 200 metres from the guest house.
