This family-run non-smoking hotel offers an outstanding base, both for the business person and traveller alike. This quality establishment offers you a home from home in the beautiful town of Dumfries.

Built in 1863 by Jean Aitkin Carlyle (Thomas Carlyle`s sister), this large sandstone house offers the ideal location to discover the delights of south west Scotland. A friendly and courteous service awaits you, making it the ideal place to visit Scotland. The house has been completely refurbished and benefits from double glazing, central heating, free Wi-Fi and a large car park. The entire hotel is strictly non-smoking.

By road from the south: A75, then A709 (Lockerbie road)into Dumfries. Huntingdon House is the first hotel on the left hand side just before the railway station. From the north: M74, then A709 from Lockerbie to Dumfries. Huntingdon House is the first hotel on your left hand side before the train station. By train: Turn left out of the station and left at the top of the road. The Huntingdon is the second hotel on your right hand side.
