Conveniently located a few minutes’ walk from the centre of town, this small, friendly guest house presents itself as the ideal base from which to explore the historic town of Bath.

Very close to the train station, the house enables you to easily access the Abbey, Roman Baths, the spa and Bath Rugby Ground. In the evenings you can return to the comfort of the house and take advantage of the free Wi-Fi access to keep in contact with family, friends and colleagues (you will need to bring your own wireless-equipped laptop or PDA). All rooms have been extensively refurbished and re-equipped in March 2008, many are en suite and all are equipped with modern facilities On request, the house can organise discounts for tourist attractions, or arrange early check-in and late check-outs (charges may apply). Save money on your visit to the spa by borrowing a towel from the hotel.

For the benefit of others, any guest who smells strongly of tobacco smoke will not be permitted to enter, and any guest who contaminates the room with tobacco smells or other permanent odours will be charged for redecoration and cleaning. Check-in is between 15:00 and 21:00. Check out is between 08:30 and 10:00, except by prior agreement. Roban House does not have a permanently manned reception. They will contact you to arrange the suitable check-in time. The house does not accept children under 12 years and does not permit rooms to be shared by more than the number of people booked. Roban House will contact you after your booking to confirm details of accommodation, check-in, parking and any special requirements.

• Roman Baths and Abbey(1 km)- The hot springs of Bath have been attracting visitors since the Ancient Britons first came to worship Sulis. The baths have been rebuilt by every civilisation since and people have been taking the waters for more than 2000 years.
• City of Bath(1 km)- Bath is designated as a World Heritage Site and is home to some of the finest architectural buildings in Europe. Modern Bath is a lively city with a wide selection of activities and entertainments for everyone.
• Longleat House and Safari park(40 km)- Set in more than 900 acres of Capability Brown-landscaped parkland with a further 8,000 acres of woodlands, lakes and farmland, Longleat combines the magic of the old with the marvels of the new.
• Stonehenge and Avebury(60 km)- The mysterious stone circles at Stonehenge and Avebury have been intriguing visitors for centuries. Tours leave Bath every day.

Directions:

By car from the East or North: - Take the M4 motorway. - Exit at junction 18. - Take the A46 south for Bath. - Follow signs initially for the city centre and then the A4 for Bristol. - After passing through a number of traffic lights and roundabouts you will see a Renault Dealer on the right, turn left opposite this (alongside the Green Park Tavern) into Westmoreland Road. - This becomes Lower Oldfield Park when it passes under the railway bridge. - Roban House (number 26) is 100 metres up the road on the right-hand side. From the South/East: - Take the A36 from Southampton, Salisbury and Warminster into Bath. - On joining the A4 in Bath turn left for Bristol. - After passing through a number of traffic lights and roundabouts you will see a Renault Dealer on the right, then, as above. Free street is available nearby.
