Crompton House is a warm and friendly Victorian guest house located midway between the busy villages of Windermere and Bowness.

The guest house is a clean, comfortable and reasonably priced bed and breakfast, with an excellent location in the English Lake District National Park, Windermere. The 7 guest rooms are non-smoking and each has an en suite bathroom. There is one four-poster room, one family room and 5 double rooms. A grilled full English breakfast is served in the dining room, as is a good choice of cereals, fruit and juice from the buffet table. Within easy walking distance there is a host of restaurants catering for all tastes and prices. There is also a cinema, nightclubs, pubs and shops. You can catch a steamer from the pier at Bowness for a memorable trip on the lake. This is a 3-star rated guest house. • Windermere Lake Cruises(1 km)- Explore the lake using the lake cruisers. They have several pick up and drop off points. You can buy a freedom of the lakes explorer ticket.
• The World of Beatrix Potter Atraction(1 km)- Learn about the life of the famous childrens author Beatrix Potter. See the amazing displays of her world famous characters.
• Aquarium of the Lakes(1 km)- A journey of Discovery from the Mountains to the Sea. Naturally-themed habitats bring the history of the lake vividly to life.

Directions:

From North or South leave M6 at Junction 36. Follow signs to South Lakes and Kendal. This road is A590 / A591. Follow A591 to Windermere. Follow signs to Town Centre. Drive through village towards Bowness and Lake. This road is 'New Road'. In about 3/4 km there is a Catholic Church on left. This brings you to Lake Road. CROMPTON HOUSE is approximately 115 metres on the left.
