Winners of B&B of the Year 2007 in the Merseyside Annual Tourism Awards, this privately owned country house offers luxury bed and breakfast accommodation in a peaceful, rural setting.

In a quiet, tranquil setting, but just a few minutes from the M53, this award-winning guest house is located in the picturesque conservation village of Frankby, in the heart of the Wirral. The guest house is just 15 minutes' drive from Liverpool, City of Culture 2008, and only 5 minutes' drive from the Victorian seaside towns of Hoylake and West Kirby, where there are numerous restaurants and bars. Peel Hey is also conveniently located for trips to Chester. The house was originally constructed in 1885 and the luxurious and attractive en suite rooms are individually styled, combining contemporary facilities with unique charm and character. The peaceful location and great accommodation makes Peel Hey a great place for a relaxing or romantic break. With victory in 2007, the guest house has now won the Bed and Breakfast of the Year Award in the Merseyside Annual Tourism Awards for 3 years running. In addition, Peel Hey also boasts a 4-star Silver Award 2007 from the English Tourism Council and features in the Which Best Bed & Breakfast Guide and the Michelin Red Guide. The guest house also holds a Silver Award from the Green Tourism Business Council for its efforts to conserve energy and protect the environment. Located in Frankby and set in the heart of the Wirral peninsular, Peel Hey has beautiful views across open countryside towards the coast. The house is within easy walking distance of the local pub and the village is a welcome retreat away from the busy towns. However, the convenient location means that both Liverpool and Chester are within easy reach and junctions 2 and 3 of the M53 are just minutes away. Whether you are visiting the area on business, calling in on relatives, attending a wedding, golfing, sailing, walking, bird watching or just enjoying a well-earned break, you can be assured of a very warm welcome at Peel Hey, where the staff endeavour to offer the highest level of service and quality. There is a guests’ lounge and the delightful south-facing dining room looks out over the garden, the paddocks and the fields beyond. The bedrooms offer far-reaching views stretching away across Liverpool Bay. On a clear day, you can even see Blackpool Tower. The addition of the Victorian conservatory in 2007 has greatly enhanced the house and the conservatory provides the perfect place to relax and unwind after a hard day’s work or a long day spent exploring the region.
