The Amber lounge bar and dining room is found beneath the Chesterhouse Hotel on the promenade. With an excellent selection of beers and wines and a fantastic menu of popular dishes, it is the perfect place to relax. Amber's comfortable main bar and lounge area is open for drinks and meals every night of the week. A 2nd bar area opens on Friday and Saturday nights to host some of the island's most fun evenings out.

You can travel to the Isle of Man by sea and by air. The Chesterhouse Hotel is situated on Loch Promenade, on the seafront in Douglas. Arrival by sea: The famous Isle of Man Steam Packet company operates ferry services from the Isle of Man to Liverpool and Heysham on the UK mainland and Belfast and Dublin in Ireland. The Heysham to Douglas service operates year-round, with fast craft vessels operating in the summer, reducing the journey time to two hours. The Liverpool to Douglas service also operates year-round, with fast crafts operating in the summer months, providing a journey time of 2 hours. Services to Dublin and Belfast operate between April and October, with a journey time of 2 hours. From the sea terminal: Continue along the promenade.
