This privately owned hotel is nestled in 30 acres of Surrey countryside; a special place of evocative contrasts, offering relaxed luxury and high service standards.
Lythe Hill Hotel And Spa has recently completed a large GBP 1 million refurbishment which included the main building of the hotel along with some of the public areas, the main function rooms and 31 bedrooms. Along with the new facilities there is an award winning restaurant and a superb spa facility featuring a swimming pool, steam room, cold temple shower, sauna, a fully equipped gymnasium and 4 treatment rooms.
Part of this hotel’s special appeal is its variety; you are welcomed to the property by a bold timepiece in the courtyard promising hearty hospitality. While elsewhere, in the spa, another clock style suggests a more leisurely pace and time to relax from the pressures of the modern world.
The oldest building at Lythe Hill dates back to 1475 and forms part of the rich history of the local area. Cromwell billeted his troops here overnight during the Civil War.
In the 18th Century, the building was used as a courthouse and legend suggests that miscreants awaited their fate on the old bench in the Auberge de France. The spacious award winning Amarna Spa follows in the long Lythe Hill tradition of improvement.
With its engaging architecture and state-of-the- art spa facilities, Amarna Spa adds yet more layers of comfort and pleasure to your stay. The property today is best described as a hamlet of buildings each with its own character.

• Petworth House(14 km)- The house contains the Trust's finest and largest collection of pictures, with numerous works by Turner, Van Dyck, Reynolds and Blake, as well as ancient and neo-classical sculpture, fine furniture and carvings by Grinling Gibbons.• Haslemere Museum(2 km)- Selected by the Guardian in 2003 as one of the country's Top 20 family friendly museums. The Haslemere Educational Museum is a real treat, they have several galleries and different exhibitions during the year. A must when visiting the hotel!
• Haslemere Town(2 km)- Haslemere is unique. Situated on the borders of Hampshire & West Sussex, this historic market town with its timbered and tile-hung houses and cottages, is one of the gems of the Surrey Hills AONB. With many shops & restaurants.
• Lurgashall Winery(9 km)- The Winery is in award winning farm buildings. The shop and offers a variety of tours and tastings. Their policy is to gather ingredients locally wherever possible and to only use real fruits, flowers, vegetables and honey.
