Inn For All Seasons Burford

Picture of in

This 17th century Cotswold coaching inn overlooking the rolling countryside continues to enhance its reputation for good food in a relaxed, traditional setting.

Now under the direction of chef/Proprietor Matthew Sharp and his wife Heather, the inn has been in the Sharp family for over 20 years. Matthew is a classically trained chef and has worked in some of the best London hotels. He puts together a daily changing menu that takes advantage of local produce. The inn also specialises in fish and shellfish, all sourced in Brixham. The 10 en suite double and twin rooms (including a lovely four poster room) are all different and boast pleasant views. The Inn is ideally situated between Oxford and Cheltenham, and just to the west of Buford; the gateway to the Cotswolds. Bibury, Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold and Chipping Norton are all very close and well worth a visit. The Inn For All Seasons was originally quarry cottages and was made into a coaching inn sometime in the 17 hundreds.Open Cotswold stone walls and log fires accompany the comfortable antique furniture that adorn the Inn and give it a charm and warmth of its own.Situated in the heart of the Cotswolds our 2 acres of grounds run down from the back of the Inn into the Windrush Valley were you can walk to Villages through the most beautiful countryside. The Bar is well stocked with local real ales along with a extensive wine list and Malt whisky selection that is a feature behind the Bar. Leather winged back chairs adorn the bar around the open log fires. Our 30 seater restaurant is furnished with antique furniture and comfortable high back leather chairs. The Residents lounge has its own log fire and is a peacful place to unwind after your journey or dinner .Breakfast is served in our coservatory that overlooks the gardens to the rear of the Inn.Private parties and small gatherings our catered for in our windrush room.
