• Biggar Museum Trust(6 km)- A unique group of museums are situated in the historic market town of Biggar, including Gladstone Court, a street of bygone shops, Greenhill, a 17th century farmhouse and the local Gasworks, now an ancient monument.
• NEW LANARK WORLD HERITAGE SITE(6 km)- This is a beautifully restored 18th century cotton mill village. The fascinating history of the village is brought back to life at the award-winning Visitor Centre, where you can explore all the attractions with a passport ticket.

Directions:

From Glasgow, get onto the M74 southbound and leave at Junction 13 onto the A73 Lanark. From there, take the A72 to Biggar and the hotel is situated on the right. From Carlisle, head North on the M74, get off at Junction 13 and follow the instructions as above.
