• Saint Louis Pier, Sète(12 km)- Walk down the pier and take a look at the fishing boats and yachts vie for space. Here you will see some fo the fastest sailboats in the world as it is here that the French train for the America's Cup.
• Musée Fabre(32 km)- One of France's great provincial art galleries, this museum occupies the former Hôtel de Massilian, where Molière once played for a season. The most important works of the collection, were given by François Fabre, a Montpellier painter, in 1825.
• Place de la Comédie(33 km)- This pedestrianised square is the heart and soul of Montpellier. At the centre of the square, beneath the handsome facades of the surrounding 19th century buildings, is the fountain of the Three Graces.
• Arc de Triomphe(35 km)- Erected in 1691, this monument is one of several built to glorify the monarchy. A small door under the vaulted archway provides access to the interior of the monument and a staircase winds up to the rooftop terrace for a magnificent view of the city.
