• Birdland Park and Gardens(14 km)- Seven acres of woodland, river and gardens inhabited by over 500 birds; flamingos, pelicans and penguins to parrots, hornbills, toucans and many more. Tropical, temperate and desert houses. Plus picnic areas, coffee shop, gifts and play area.• Holst Birthplace Museum(15 km)- The story of the man and his music is told alongside a fascinating display of personal belongings, including his piano. The museum is also a fine period house showing the way of life in times past.
• Pittville Pump Room(16 km)- The spa waters can still be tasted today from the original marble and scagliola pump, although now they are pumped electronically from the well, 80 feet below, rather than by the traditional handpump method.
