• Adcote House(3 km)- Adcote is a Grade I listed building designed by Norman Shaw and built to a Tudor design in 1879. Its features include a Great Hall, Minstrels' gallery, William De Morgan tiled fireplaces and stained glass windows.
• Attingham Park(5 km)- Miles of walks through the deer park, woodlands and alongside the river. Find out about estate life in the stables, orchard and Bothy exhibition.
• Rowley's House Museum(8 km)- Major regional museum housed in timber-framed warehouse and adjoining seventeenth century brick mansion. Major Roman collections, decorative arts, mediaeval Shrewsbury, local and national history. Special exhibitions and events.
• Shrewsbury Castle and Shropshire Regimental Museum(8 km)- Norman Castle with 18th century work by Thomas Telford. The main hall houses the Shropshire Regimental Museum. The grounds are open all year (except Christmas/New Year) - admission free.

Directions:

From South and East, cross English Bridge and take right fork at mini roundabout into Wyle Cop. Hotel on left at top of hill. From North and West, follow signs to city centre and join one-way system at railway station. Follow signs to Telford, bear left at Post Office. Hotel opposite T-junction.
