• Raby Castle(1 km)- Historic Raby Castle, set in a 200 acre deer park, has been the home of Lord Barnards' family since 1626, when it was purchased by his ancestor, Sir Henry Vane, the eminent statesman and politician.
• Burton Agnes Hall(15 km)- A lovely Elizabethan Hall filled with treasures collected by the family over four centuries from the fascinating original carving and plasterwork to a large collection of Impressionist and contemporary paintings.
• The Teapottery(18 km)- The Teapottery makes handmade, collectable teapots at it's two centres in Leyburn, in the Yorkshire Dales, and Keswick, in the Lake District. Visitors are invited to watch the craftspeople at work and browse in the teapot shop.
