• The Latin Quarter(0 km)- This riverside quarter has been dominated by the Sorbonne, and acquired its name from the early latin-speaking students. The area is generally associated with artists, intellectual and a bohemian way of life.
• The Pantheon(0 km)- The building was restored to its original purpose for a time before being made definitively a temple in 1885 when Victor Hugo was entombed there. Pierre and Marie Curie were the last to be buried in this highly symbolic monument.
