Built in 1760 to accommodate health seekers wishing to take the waters from the wells of Pannanich, this historic building houses a charming hotel offering comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation.
Situated on the quiet South Deeside Road, in an idyllic rural position on Pannanich Hill, overlooking the Dee Valley, just a mile from the village of Ballater in the Cairngorms National Park, Pannanich Wells is a great base for exploring this beautiful corner of North East Scotland.
The building’s original granite exterior dates back to the 18th century, while inside the hotel offers comfortable, well-appointed accommodation with 2 self-catering cottages on-site and one larger cottage off-site, in the centre of Ballater. All the accommodation is en suite with shower or bath and shower and each room is well-equipped with all modern comforts and facilities you need including TVs, radios, DVD/CD or video players and tea and coffee making facilities.

• Balmoral Castle(12 km)- Open April to July and some winter openings. Summer residence of the British Royal Family• Golf(2 km)- With 8 golf clubs from 2-20 miles this makes an ideal base for the golfer. We will happily arrange Tee times for you
• National Trust properties(30 km)- In this area there are 4 National Trust properties within 3/4 of an hour drive, and several more which can be reached in just over an hour. Mostly open summer season only . Tickets can be borrowed for the hotel
• Distilleries(40 km)- Sitting just on the edge of the Whisky trail it is easy to get to many distilleries, some have excellent visitor centres and we will be happy to ' point you in the right direction'
