Bowness-on-Windermere

Burn How 'The house on the hill by the stream' is just 200 metres from Lake Windermere.
Burn How is where it all begins. Those who enjoy the fresh country air can meander along picturesque woodland trails through unspoilt countryside.
Enjoy a cruise on Lake Windermere or venture further afield and take the ferry across the lake to visit Hill Top, the home of Beatrix Potter. At the end of the day, relax with family and friends in the congenial atmosphere of the lounge and bar, or on a pleasant summer's evening, take in the beautiful surroundings of our patio and gardens.
The layout of The Burn How is refreshingly different to most other hotels.
In the main house you will find the reception area, The Burn How Restaurant and the residents’ lounge and bar, whereas all of the hotel’s bedrooms are located outside the main building within our private grounds.
