The Regent by the Lake Ambleside

Picture of in

Personally managed by the Hewitt family, traditional service, modern comforts and superb food combine to produce the perfect balance between quality and hospitality in this 3-star hotel.

Relax in the heated indoor pool or outside in our flower filled courtyard with a reviving drink, and contemplate the events of the day and the evening menu. Dining is a vital part at The Regent Hotel and the head chef combines fresh local produce with traditional Cumbrian influences into a modern British style. All this is complemented by the extensive wine list. There is plenty to see and do in and around the Lakes, such as The Beatrix Potter Museum, Cruises on Lake Windermere, shopping in Ambleside and nearby Bowness, and for the ramblers many pleasant walks around the Fells. The restaurant is designed to create a tranquil setting for a pleasant relaxing meal. There is something to suit all from the vast range of dishes available. The menu changes daily. The indoor pool (open all year round) is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day spent walking, shopping or sightseeing. The lake is right outside the front door, from which you can catch a boat across to Bowness on Windermere. The shops of Ambleside are a 10 minute stroll away. So why not treat yourself to a break in the beautiful Lake District. Here you are guaranteed an enjoyable stay and relaxation from all the stresses and strains of everyday life.
