Nestled in extensive gardens in the centre of Swanage, this unique family-run hotel combines the atmosphere of a traditional country house with all the amenities of a modern hotel.
Steeped in history, the 38 bedrooms are divided between the main house, constructed in 1875, and the newly-built Louisa Lodge. All of the bedrooms are en suite and some have sea or garden views.
During your stay you can explore the wonderful surroundings, including the seafront on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast (300 yards) and the bustling centre of Bournemouth (15 miles).
Formerly a Convent, the hotel is set in large grounds overlooking Swanage Bay. The grounds and buildings incorporate many extraordinary artifacts brought from London by George Burt, one of the founders of the Mowlem construction company and the house's creator.

• Swanage Railway(0 km)- Swanage Steam Railway to Corfe Castle.• Jurassic Coast(1 km)- A World Heritage site, our dramatic coastline is an extraordinary monument to the time when Dorset was covered by swamps and lagoons. The dinosaurs left a plethora of fossils which can be readily found along the seashore.
• Lulworth Castle Park(10 km)- Lulworth Castle was built between 1608 and 1610. Visit the Castle, Chapel, Animal Farm, Woodland Walk and Cafe & Shop.
• Monkey World(15 km)- Monkey World is a 60-acre park set in the Dorset countryside. Recognised as leading experts in ape rescue and rehabilitation, the park is home to a wide variety of primates including: orangutans, gibbons, woolly monkeys, macaques and marmosets

By Car: From Wareham: - Follow the A351 to Corfe Castle and then to Swanage Town Centre. - This road becomes Victoria Avenue. - Follow it towards the sea front and then, 50 yards before you get to the sea, turn right at the traffic lights. - Turn left at the roundabout into Station Road. - Follow the one way system round before turning left into the High Street after the White Swan Public House. - Purbeck House Hotel is 100 yards on the left.distid=1 propertyid=123519
