Wedding ceremonies and receptions for up to 120 guests can be catered for, and the hotel also holds a civil wedding license.
At Christmas, the George Hotel comes to life with festive lights and activities. The hotel is adorned with traditional decorations which take you back to the golden age of true hospitality, service and comfort.
The George's festive party nights are held from mid-November to mid-January. Clearly ‘These offer a fantastic menu to suit all tastes, a disco with fun party games and prizes, beautiful function rooms with spectacular decorations, decorative tables with streamers, party hats and much, much more!!

By car From the m6, leave the motorway at Junction 40 from the south or 41 from the north. Follow the signs for Penrith town centre. Once you enter the town centre itself you will see 'Woolworth's' on your right. Immediately after that turn left. After a few yards the road opens up; our car park in entered via the archway on the right. By rail to Penrith. Continue by taxi, bus or walk.
