Single room with en-suite facilities, colour television, writing desk and lamp and tea and coffee making facilities. This single accommodation ensures that your stay will be a comfortable one. Views from the rear of the hotel look over the North Pennines and Durham Dales. Spectacular sights, all year round.

Fully En-Suite Twin Rooms ()

Spacious, en-suite twin room with separated beds, tea and coffee making facilities and ample room for working at the desk. Unlike some twin rooms, ours are more than spacious, ensuring a comfortable stay. Twin rooms have excellent views over the Durham Dales and North Pennines. Stunning views are guaranteed during winter as well as summer.

Fully En-Suite Family Room ()

Our largest room is beautifully decorated, with a full double bed, up to 3 single beds and room for a cot. The room also has a private bathroom and toilet, colour tv and tea and coffee making facilities as standard. Pleasant view to the front of the hotel. Please note that the standard family room rate is based on two adults and one child sharing. Please add 10.00 per extra child (maximum of two).

The recently refurbished, more than spacious double rooms are homely in style and have an en-suite bathroom, tea and coffee tray and colour tv. Ideal for a stay of any duration. Beautiful scenery can be viewed from our double rooms, which overlook the breathtaking Durham Dales and North Pennines, stunning in both summer and winter.

• The countryside!(0 km)- Some of the best views, rides, drives, walks in the land can be experienced around here, and that's official! One road locally has just been voted in the top 100 best drives in the world, beating Monument Valley in Arizona -not bad eh?!!!!
• Beamish Museum(15 km)- Europe's number one open-air museum, showing life how it was at the turn of the century. A real-life working experience that must not be missed!!!!
• Metro centre, Gateshead(25 km)- Europe's largest indoor shopping centre and fun fair. Top for shopping, kids also love it. Try out the excellent food and pubs - a top day out whatever you are into!!!
• The Locomotion(3 km)- Newly opened national railway museum at Shildon with an 11 million pound railway exhibition.

By Car: Take the A1(M). - Exit at junction 58. - Follow the A68 for 7 miles. Transport to and from local airports, train and bus stations is available at an extra cost, but must be on prior arrangement.
