Within a short and easy walk of Keswick's market square, theatre and lake, the hotel provides a most convenient location, close to many amenities yet in a quiet position. The Edwardene serves as an excellent base to explore the central and northern Lake District, whether for a relaxing break away from it all, or for discovering the beauty of the mountains, fells and lakes of this outstanding area, with many excellent varied walks from the doorstep. • Derwentwater(1 km)- See the magnificent scenery around Keswick, from the most perfectly set of all the Cumbrian Lakes. Spend all day exploring, hopping on & off the Keswick Launch at any of the 7 landings around the lake, or try some of the water sports available nearby
• Theatre by the Lake(1 km)- There is something for everyone at this beautiful theatre. The acclaimed resident professional company offers a full season of plays, a major Christmas show and an Easter classic. The theatre also hosts a wide range of visiting drama, music and dance. .
• The Puzzling Place(1 km)- Optical illusions,over 80 holograms, gravity free room, puzzle area, interactive computer models.
• The Fells(2 km)- The most beautiful of English scenery, mountains in minature. The fells offer some of the best walking country in Europe in the most intimate and varied landscape. Keswick is overlooked by Skiddaw, the fourth highest mountain in England.

Directions:

By Car (from the M6): - Leave the M6 at junction 40. - Take the A66 west following signs for Keswick for 17 miles and exit at the sign for Keswick. - From the slip road turn left and carry on until you reach the T-junction. - Turn right on the A591 towards Keswick town centre (1 mile). - Just before the pedestrian crossing, turn sharp left into Southey Street. - The hotel is 150 meters away on your right hand side.
