CANCELLATION POLICY: null COMMENTS: Please be advised that to avoid disappointment, pre-booking of dinner at the hotel is advisable. From mid-February 2008 until late July 2008, the hotel will be carrying out works to extend the lounge and basement area at the east end of the south-facing elevation. This will create a larger lounge area, making more of the superb sea views. At the same time this work will also provide more space in the Smugglers Bar. These works will be screened off from the main part of the hotel and will not affect the general operation of the bar and restaurant areas on the ground floor. Plans will be displayed in reception for your interest. Everything possible will be done to minimise any inconvenience to guests during this period.

The New Year's Eve programme includes 3 nights dinner, bed and breakfast. The evening commences with a champagne reception followed by a 7-course dinner and then dancing until 01:00. This event is very popular so book early to avoid disappointment.

• Abbotsbury Swannery,Sub Tropical Gardens and Tithe Barn(12 km)- Abbtsbury, with its world famous Swannery, a grade one listed Sub Tropical Garden and the wonderful children's farm barn, offers something for all the family. Abbotsbury is a village well worth exploring.
• Golden Cap(2 km)- The highest point on the Dorset Coast
• West Bay(2 km)- A short walk over the cliff from the hotel
• Forde Abbey and Gardens(25 km)- Beautiful House and Gardens

Directions:

From East Follow a35 to Exeter/Honiton (don’t go into Bridport town centre). After the second roundabout (Crown Inn) you come away from Bridport. Travel up the hill (double lane) until the road narrows to single lane. Take the left turn sign posted Eype and Services. Take 3rd right, sign posted to the beach. Follow the narrow lane until you reach the hotel. From West follow a35 from Charmouth/Chideock. You will pass a turning on the left to Bridport. Keep on the a35. The road goes into a double lane section. After approx. 250 yds take the right turn signed to Eype and Services. Then take 3rd right, sign posted to the beach. Follow the narrow lane until you reach the hotel.
