• St Albans Abbey(1 km)- The magnificent Abbey Church dominates the city's skyline on every main approach. Its architecture is a blend of many different periods. It is best known for the shrine of St Alban - Britain's first Christian martyr.

By Car (from the North): - Take the M1 southbound. - Exit the M1 at junction 7. - Take the M10 to the end, straight onto A414 (Hatfield) and then connect to A1081 (head to St Albans). Directions from London: - Take the M1 northbound. - Exit the M1 at junction 6 onto A414 (Hatfield) and then connect to A1081 (head to St Albans). Directions from the South, East or West: - Take the M25 and exit at junction 22. - Follow the A1081 (head to St Albans).
