• Howletts Zoo(16 km)- Fantastic zoo created by David Aspinall and is world famous for the gorilla enclosure. A good and entertaining family day out.• Whitstable(25 km)- Go back in time and visit Whitstable Harbour. Walk along the beaches and watch the best wind surfers and kite surfers in the area. Great for nik nak shops.
• Canterbury(3 km)- This beautiful walled City is steeped in history and houses the well known Cathedral. Well worth a visit.
• Leeds Castle(45 km)- If you fancy a day out, Leeds Castle has grounds to wander in as well as various attractions and the Castle itself is fascinating.

By road: From the A2 get to Canterbury's first roundabout, straight on till you get to the next one, then turn right till the next one again and follow the A28 (To Ashford), drive under a railway bridge till you get to a set of traffic lights, keep going straight on till you get to a small roundabout, still following the A28, then over the river and turn right into 'Howfield Lane', the Hotel entrance in on the right.distid=1 propertyid=120510
