CANCELLATION POLICY: Reservations must be cancelled 2 days in advance of your arrival date. In the event of a no show or a cancellation in breach of this policy, the cost of the entire reservation will be charged. The cancellation policy may vary per room type; please check the room description as well. COMMENTS: All bedrooms & restaurant (except for Lounge) are non-smoking. No pets.

All our rooms are individually designed with hand painted walls. Standard rooms consist of a double/twin bed, shower and desk.

These are our best rooms, and have a large double bed, bath & shower and seating area. These rooms can be used as bridal suites.

Directions:

From the m25 and/or the a12: From the m25, exit at Junction 28 onto the a12 North towards Colchester. Continue on the a12 for 33.5 miles. Exit the a12 at Junction 25 (Marks Tey) and take the first exit on the roundabout, signposted the a120 to Stansted Airport and Bishops Stortford. Continue for 4.1 miles and then turn right onto the b1024 signposted to Earls Colne. After 3.4 miles turn left at the mini roundabout. The de Vere Arms is located half a mile up the road on the right hand side. From the m25 and/or the m11 and Stansted Airport: From the m25, exit at Junction 27 onto the m11 North towards Cambridge. After 14.6 miles exit the m11 at Junction 8a onto the a120 signposted to Colchester. Follow the signs to Colchester staying on the a120 for 23.4 miles. Turn left onto the b1024 signposted to Earls Colne. After 3.4 miles turn left at the mini roundabout. The de Vere Arms is located half a mile up the road on the right hand side. By train: Trains can be taken from London Liverpool Street to Clacton. The stop on this line that you will require is Marks Tey. From Marks Tey it is approximately 8 miles to the hotel. You can either take a taxi from the station to the hotel or switch trains and go to Chapel train station, which is approximately a mile from Earls Colne. We would be more than happy to book the taxi from either station, or alternatively please feel free to call the hotel for a list of recommended taxi companies.
