Gordon and Lin Muirhead are pleased to welcome you to Ptarmigan House, a Scottish Tourist Board Three-Star guest house created from a 19th century shooting lodge. We offer first class bed and breakfast accommodation. Our bedrooms are bright, tastefully decorated, and all have en suite facilities. The House sits in its own grounds with ample parking. Pubs, restaurants, swimming pool, leisure facilities and a golf course are all within five minutes' walk. Blair Atholl is an ideal centre or touring the Highlands, walking the hills and mountains, golf and mountain biking. We are just one mile from Blair Castle, traditional home of the Dukes of Atholl and the Atholl Highlanders, and one of Scotland's best known castles. Three miles to the south is Killiecrankie, site of the famous battle.

• Blair Castle(1 km)- One of the finest castle/stately homes in Scotland. Magnificent rooms and grounds.• Lochs Tummel & Rannoch(10 km)- Some of the most magnificent scenery in Scotland inc. Queens view at Tummel and some of the last remnants of the Caledonian Pine Forest round Loch Rannoch.
• Cairngorm Mountains(2 km)- We are situated at the southern gateway to the Cairngorm Mountains, and the soon to be National Park.
• House of Bruar(3 km)- House of Bruar is now being called The Harrods of the North, not a shop, more of an experience! Magnificent walks nearby to the famous Falls of Bruar.

Heading north on the a9. 30 miles north of Perth and 6 north of Pitlochry, Blair Atholl is signposted right, upon entering the village take first left, after 250m our signs are in front of you. Heading south on the a9. 45 miles south of Aviemore, Blair Atholl is signposted left.
