This 18th century, friendly hotel is the perfect location from which to enjoy the wonders of the north-west Highlands of Scotland. With exhilarating views, the hotel offers guests attractively furnished, well- appointed bedrooms. The intimate atmosphere of the Zetland Restaurant overlooking the Isle of Ewe offers the finest of service and traditional and local fare, specialising in seafood, highland beef and venison. Our comfortable lounge bar is perfect for a nightcap or try the public bar for a bit of 'local' atmosphere. During the day, relax in the conservatory or outside on the patio, overlooking the loch.

• Benn Eight Nature Reserve(20 km)- The first nature reserve to be established in Scotland on the shores of Loch Maree. Woodland walks and climbing.
• Torridon Mountains(20 km)- Famed for their ancient forests, the Torridon mountains offer breathtaking climbing and walking.
• Gruinard Bay(4 km)- Beautiful sandy bay with unusual red coloured sand with a backdrop of spectacular mountains. Overlooks Gruinard Island.
• Inverewe Gardens(5 km)- Founded by Osgood MacKenzie in 1862, Inverewe Garden is recognised as one of the finest in Europe, mainly due to the climatic effects of the Gulf Stream.

Directions:

From Inverness take the a9 north over the Kessock Bridge. At Tore roundabout take the a835 signposted Ullapool. At Braemore Junction turn left on the a832 signposted Gairloch and Aultbea. The Aultbea Hotel is situated at the water's edge in the village of Aultbea (approximately 80 miles from Inverness).
