Situated on the banks of the River Tees, the George Hotel offers you a warm welcome, exceptional food and an extremely memorable experience. With 35 en-suite rooms and an excellent bar and restaurant, you are bound to enjoy this old world coaching inn, as well as the beautiful local area.
Please note that the hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment, although minimal disruption is expected.

From the south of the a1, take left fork for Piercebridge just after Scotch Corner. The George is 4 miles on the b6275. From the north turn or A1 at Darlington, follow signs for Barnard Castle (A67) and head 4 miles to Piercebridge. From the east or west, you will be on the A67 between Darlington and Barnard Castle. Turn south at the sign for Piercebridge, and go a 1/4 mile through the village and over the bridge. The George is just over the bridge on the left.Or choose from these popular destinations:
