From the south of the a1, take left fork for Piercebridge just after Scotch Corner. The George is 4 miles on the b6275. From the north turn or A1 at Darlington, follow signs for Barnard Castle (A67) and head 4 miles to Piercebridge. From the east or west, you will be on the A67 between Darlington and Barnard Castle. Turn south at the sign for Piercebridge, and go a 1/4 mile through the village and over the bridge. The George is just over the bridge on the left.
