An imposing manor house hotel originally built in 1870 as the home for a local businessman, It has been tastefully converted into one of the regions most popular hotels. Set in the foothills of the Peak District National Park but just a short drive from the main motorway network, it is the ideal base from which to travel on business or to explore the beauty of Yorkshire's 'Last of the Summer Wine Country' the hotel has been recently used as a location for the well known tv series 'Where the Heart is'.

Beautifully refurbished with a Moorland theme. These are double bedded rooms in the original part of the building, all with individual character. Luxurious soft furnishings, tall ceilings and large bathrooms make these rooms very popular.

There are two of these large family rooms, one has a double bed and three singles and the other has a double bed and two singles. Ideal for a family trip. These large rooms have been beautifully refurbished with a Moorland theme and have televisions, direct dial telephone, en suite bathrooms and hospitality tray.

Two single beds in each of these beautifully refurbished rooms, in the original part of the building. With luxurious soft furnishings and excellent amenities.

These newly refurbished rooms feature new carpets, curtains and bedspread with Empire style furniture to add comfort and style to welcome both business and leisure travellers. Easy chairs, occasional tables and a desk area with en suite bathrooms. From the m1 take j35a and head onto the a629 until you pick the a616 which will take you into Holmfirth. From there turn left at the traffic lights in the town centre and the right up the hill signposted to Meltham. Turn right just past the Ford Inn and this road will take you into the centre of Meltham, where you must turn right towards Huddersfield.
