By Car: From Utrecht: - Exit Zaanstad (through the Zeeburgertunnel) at Amsterdam - A7, direction Hoorn and Leeuwarden - Shortly before the "Afsluitdijk" take exit Den Oever/DenHelder. - Follow Den Helder. From Den Haag: - Onto the A7 via de Coentunnel - Follow Den Helder and take exit Den Oever/DenHelder shortly before the "Afstluitdijk". From Friesland: - Exit direction Den Helder at the end of the "Afsluitdijk" (A7). - In Den Helder the shortest way to the ferry will be indicated. On Texel: - Follow signs to Den Hoorn. - Follow the Amaliaweg, Hoornderweg and the Kleiweg. - At beginning of Kleiweg turn left. - You are then riding on the "Diek". Train/Bus A bus leaves for the ferry to Texel from train station Den Helder 15 minutes after the hour. If you want to continue by bus on Texel, you can validate your ticket for the appropriate number of zones in Den Helder. You can also buy a ticket at the TESO-booths in Den Helder for a Telekom-taxi. One ticket is EUR 4,00 and you will be brought to your final destination on Texel. Ferry Texel is quickly accesible by ferry thanks to modern boats that circulate on an hourly schedule. The ride takes about 25 minutes. It is not possible (and also not necessary) to reserve a place for the car on the ferry. Tickets can be bought quickly and easily at the TESO booths in Den Helder.
