Balcomie Links is a friendly, family run small hotel, situated on the outskirts of Crail near St Andrew's. In Fife's famous and sheltered East Neuk, this is one of the sunniest corners on the East Coast of Scotland.

The hotel is an ideal base to explore the area which is enriched in history with beautiful coastal villages and scenic walks, beaches, castles, museums, attractions, and made famous for its golfing as the “Home of Golf ". The hotel is situated on the outskirts of Crail and has 14 en suite bedrooms over 2 levels. The building is in Art Deco style and was purpose-built as a hotel in 1903. The hotel offers a comfortable accommodation to its guests. Facilities include well-stocked lounge bar with large lounge and comfortable seating, used as a diner also. There is a dining room for more private dinning and special occasions. There is also the public bar and games room with pool table, dartboard and dominoes. On the outside there is an attractive beer garden to the front of the building which is used for serving food, drinks and ales and a large private car park for approximately 20 cars.

Double Room Superior ()

Tastefully decorated and spacious rooms on the second and first floor. Magnificent sea views across the Firth of Forth and North Sea from the three of the rooms (one room has views to the fields at the back). Two of the rooms have a Queen Size bed, and the other two have King size beds.

Tastefully decorated, first and second floor rooms with magnificent sea views across the Firth of Forth and North Sea (one room has views to the side towards village and the sea).

Family Room ()

We have two tastefully decorated first floor rooms. One has two single beds and bunk beds with views to the side, across village and the sea. Another consist of two bedded-rooms (double bed and bunk beds), hallway and views to the field and caravan park at the back of the hotel. Both rooms are ideal for families.

Twin Room Superior ()

Tastefully decorated, first and second floor rooms. One room has magnificent views across the Firth of Forth and North Sea. The other rooms, one has views to the fields and Caravan Park at the back of the hotel, and the other has a side view to the sea and the village.

Tastefully decorated second floor room with sea views to the side. There are three single beds, suitable for golfing parties or family with a child.

• Deep Sea Worl(40 km)- Underground Sea Life Centre in North Queensferry, near the Forth Bridges
• Falkland Palace(45 km)- Set in a charming village amid the gentle scenery of the Royal Kingdom of Fife, the palace is the country's most stunning example of Renaissance architecture.
• Secret Bunker(6 km)- Scotlands best kept secret for over 40 years. Undergroung Command Centre for the use of government and the forces in cases of nuclear attack.

Directions:

From Edinburgh (South): Follow through Forth Road Bridge to m90. Exit m90 at junction 2a to Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy (a92). Continue on the a92 until the traffic island. At the traffic island take third exit to Kirkcaldy, and follow sign for Leven (a915). Continue on the a915 through Leven, Lundin Links to Upper Largo. At Upper Largo take the a917 to Elie and Anstruther. Continue on the a917 through Elie, St Monans, Pittenweem, Anstruther to Crail. Arriving in Crail, continue through High Street until the Royal Bank of Scotland, and bear right to Marketgate towards the golf course. Continue on the Marketgate for about 600 metres; the Balcomie Links Hotel is on the left. From Perth (North): From Perth follow M90 to Edinburgh until junction 2A and follow the above directions, or follow A85 to Dundee and follow directions below. From Dundee Cross the Tay Bridge to Fife Kirkcaldy Glenrothes (A92). Leave A92 on the second traffic island after the bridge to St Andrews (A919). Follow A919 through St Michaels, Leuchars and Guardbridge to St Andrews. In St Andrews take A917 to Crail. Continue on the A917 through Kingsbarns to Crail. Arriving in Crail, bear left to Marketgate on the sharp right corner (Royal Bank of Scotland on your left). Continue on the Marketgate about 600 metres; the Balcomie Links Hotel is on the left.
