From Newcastle upon Tyne, follow the a1058 (Tyne Tunnel signs). Follow the a1058 as far as it will go. Turn left when you come to the end of this road and are facing the sea. Continue along this road, which is the coastal road and goes from Tynemouth to Whitley Bay. Turn left when you reach South Parade. A few yards on the right hand side is the Ambassador Hotel.
