Full of interesting shops, good places to eat and drink, with a slightly Bohemian atmosphere and a lovely river frontage.
• Dartmouth(16 km)- A very attractive and historic town famous for its Naval college, cobbled streets, interesting shops and delightful cafes, pubs, and restaurants. Enjoy the waterfront with its maritime activity.
• Dartmoor(30 km)- The largest wilderness in Southern England, steeped in folklore and legend.

By Car (from Newton Abbot): - Continue straight on towards Torquay. - At the last set of traffic lights, which fork into Newton Road and Avenue Road by Torre railway station (you will also see Halfords store in front of you), take the right-hand lane into Avenue Road (following the signs for the seafront and the harbour). - Carry on through the next set of traffic lights and Bampfylde Road is the next turning on the left.distid=1 propertyid=106102
