Wimborne Minster

Set within an imposing 200 year old building, the hotel stands directly on the Town Square, in the heart of the beautiful town of Wimborne Minster.
With its high ceilings and large windows, sofas and comfortable armchairs, the Kings Head has a light, elegant, airy feel, reminiscent of a bygone era. There are lots of old photographs, some over 100 years old, of the hotel, its development and of the old town, all adding to the feel and quality of this lovely building.
The King’s Head Hotel is dedicated to Henry VII, the first Tudor monarch who, by defeating Richard III at the Battle of Bosworth Field, brought the War of the Roses to an end.
The original building, built around the 1800s, was known as The Laing's Hotel until the turn of the century, when another floor was added to make it into the centrepiece of the town square that it is today, dedicated now to Henry VII.
The ground floor underwent a major refurbishment in 2007, giving it a contemporary feel but retaining its traditional ambience.
For business events and special occasions, the hotel features The Minster Room.
Wheelchair access and a lift make the hotel easily accessible to the disabled.
