• St Winefride's Well(4 km)- In 660AD, an angry local chieftain severed the head of Winefride after she spurned his advances, a spring rose at the spot where her head fell, she was restored to life by her uncle, St Beuno. The spring became renowned for its healing powers.
• Snowdonia National Park(40 km)- Beautiful unspoilt area of natural beauty.
• Greenfield Valley Heritage Park(6 km)- A 1 mile-long linear park following the course of the Holywell Stream between the town and the estuary of the River Dee, and through which the most steeply graded conventional standard gauge railway in he UK once ran.

Directions:

Follow the A55 towards North Wales, travel past the turnings for Broughton, also Wrexham and Buckley. Take the slip road signposted Mold and the A55 Conwy/North Wales. Join the A55 on your right. Continue on this road until Junction 32A the B5123 Pentre Halkyn / Rhosesmor Road, come off the slip road here and the Springfield Hotel is on the left hand side.
