• Segedunum Roman Fort(1 km)- The Segedunum fort is a major attraction in the North East, because it is the last fort on the famous Roman Hadrians Wall, this is why it is named Wallsend, a full sized bath house is an intersting freature of this intriguing site
• Beamish Museum(10 km)- Large, open air museum set around the North East at the turn of the century
• Newcastle City Centre(4 km)- Quayside, Baltic Art Centre, opera house, new millennium bridge and night life
• Metro Centre(7 km)- Large indoor shopping centre and entertainment venue

Directions:

The Hadrian Lodge Hotel is situated on the main road into Newcastle City Centre from the a187 Wallsend (tyne tunnel), we are 10 minutes from the centre by taxi, and the same by using the modern Metro system, accessed directly opposite the hotel (hadrian road metro station). Please note there are two Hadrian Roads in Newcastle. One is in the West End by Wingrove Road, we are in the East End going directly to the Tyne Tunnel a187.
