• Theatre Royal(0 km)- Our magnificent Theatre Royal is the third home to the Royal Shakespeare company and the major touring artists from Pavorotti to S Club Seven have all performed at the Telewest Arena or City Hall.
• Newcastle United(1 km)- St. James' Park is home to Premier League Newcastle United and the ground towers over the city. Most Premiership clubs have their grounds situated on the outskirts of town but United's can be found in the centre.
• New Metroland(1 km)- The New MetroLand, complete with the rollercoaster and Wonderful Waveswinger; UCI eleven-screen cinema; crèche; Megabowl Entertainment Centre (offering 20 lanes of computerised ten-pin bowling) and Quasar, a state-of-the-art laser game for all the family.
• The Quayside(1 km)- The transformed waterfront, the Quayside, now lined with stylish hotels, designer bars, restaurants and public art. The Gateshead Millennium Bridge, a work of art in itself, arches across the Tyne to link the City to Gateshead Quays and the Baltic Centre.

By Car: For satellite navigation systems, please use post code NE1 5XU. The car park is off Fenkle Street, behind the Assembly Rooms. By Car (from the South): - Follow the signs for the A1 - Newcastle/Gateshead. - Take the turn off to the left, signposted A184 Gateshead/Newcastle centre. - Now follow the A189 and cross over the Redheugh Bridge, stay in the right-hand lane and turn right at the second set of traffic lights (following the signs for the city centre and the South A186). - Turn left at the set of lights (Burger King is on the corner and the Carling Academy is opposite). - Then immediately turn right onto Fenkle Street. - The entrance to the hotel’s car park is directly behind the Assembly Rooms, which are approximately 50 yards further down on the left-hand side. By Car (from the North and West): - Follow the signs for the South A1 (M) and take the road off to the left, signposted City Centre (West) A186 - Continue to follow the A186 for about 3 miles (5 km), then you should see a sign for Fenkle Street car parking. - Shortly after this, you come to a crossroads with traffic lights, the Carling Academy is on the corner. Turn left and then immediately turn right into Fenkle Street. - The car park entrance is directly behind the Assembly Rooms, which is 50 yards further down, on the left-hand side.
