Auld Post Hotel is located halfway between Edinburgh & St. Andrews. Built in 1903 to house Fife's main Post Office and refurbishment in 1996, it has been a Kirkcaldy landmark for the whole of the 20th Century.

Centrally located hotel incorporating Thunder Road Bar and restaurant, as well as Kitty's Nightclub, where quality live music and in-house DJs present our regular features, making this a very lively venue, especially Thursday - Sunday. Group booking welcome. Ideally situated for golfing breaks, perfect for the complete party night out. We must advise that certain rooms are affected by noise from our bar/nightclub, which closes at 2am (Thursday - Sunday). Please contact the hotel for further information.

CANCELLATION POLICY: null COMMENTS: Reception opens Monday - Friday 7:30am to 6pm and Saturday - Sunday 8am to 12:30pm. Check-in procedure outside of these hours will be attended to in Thunder Road bar. A credit card is required as a guarantee of booking. It is company policy to take a deposit for the first night's accommodation and this will be debited to the card given, unless otherwise instructed. Bookings made over the weekend period will be confirmed on the following Monday. No pets allowed other than guide dogs.

• Deep Sea World(12 km)- Fun day out for children & adults alike. See many different species of sea-life in their natural habitat. Go under the sea and watch the sharks getting fed in the under water tunnel & watch them swim over your head! Includes a gift shop and cafe.
• Lochore Meadows(15 km)- Popular water-sports centre that boasts its own man-made loch. Great day out for all the family. Includes childrens play area, beautiful surroundings and lots of nature!
• Fife Coastal Line(30 km)- Fife boasts one of the most attractive coasts in the country. Kirkcaldy is 30 miles away from St.Andrews - a friendly town famous for its golf! En-route you will pass many small villages such as St Monans,Pitenweem & Anstruther.
• Edinburgh(30 km)- This beatiful, historic city is easily accessable by train which takes you right into Edinburgh's city centre. Lots to do from sight-seeing to shopping on Edinburgh's Princes Street. We guarentee you'll not get bored!!

Directions:

From Aberdeen: Take the a90 south towards Forfar. Turn left onto a972 then right onto a92 towards Kirkcaldy. Turn left onto a921 & follow signs for Kirkcaldy town centre. We are opposite the town house. From Edinburgh: Take a90 northwest. At m90 junction 1, turn right onto a921. Turn left onto a910 and head for town centre. From Glasgow: Take m8 east to junction 8 and turn left onto a8 to junction 6. Continue to junction 2 & turn left onto m9. Left onto a8000, turn right at the junction onto a90. At m90 junction 1, turn right onto a921, turn onto a910 and head for town centre. From Carlisle: Take a7 to junction 44 & turn left onto a74 to junction 13. Continue on m74 towards Glasgow. At junction 5, turn onto a725. Turn right onto a8. Continue on m8 to junction 2 & left onto m9 towards Stirling. Turn left onto a8000. Turn right at junction onto a90. At m90 junction 1, turn onto a921 & then a910. Head for the town centre.
